I didn't think I could love another couple as much as Lina and Aaron but Rosie and Lucas are a very close second. Aaron and Lina have a small part in this book and well it's just a great book so I'd recommend reading that first. This one had the perfect amount of sweet and spice and plot to keep you interested. This author is a new favorite for me and I'm so looking forward to their next book.

I’m a huge fan of young adult novels. But this reads as though it was written for a 14 year old. I’m only a couple of chapters in and I don’t think I can finish it. Don’t recommend

It’s a perfect in between love story. The plot is straight forward. Rosie & Lucas have their own history and have troubles speaking about them and their feelings. They grow with the story. Their dates are so cute and heartwarming, I got a lot of heart racings. I wanted to smack their heads together often hoping that they speak to each other about important things. But nooo, they take the long route. The good thing: They had the best cheerleader – me.

I just absolutely hate it when the only plot is the romance, please let them have hobby’s or some kind of goal in life

Like the first book, I love it, but this one was super original and I think that I like it more than the previous one to my surprise. Lucas is character so adorable that you love him for the first scene. The ending lively, I needed more of them. But I love it.I want dates like in the book

Maybe I had too high expectations but I loved her first book "the spanish love deception" (which was funny, with twists and turns, different).... therefore I immediately pre-ordered "the american room mate experiment". I had high hopes and expected a funny, not altogether predictable love story but honestly I felt disappointed pretty quickly. I am now half through and I am not eben sure I am gonna finish it... it's just not well written, the first one was witty and funny bit these characters here are so wanna-be mysterious and complicated, totally annoying and unbelievable. First book huge hit, 2nd one for me a disaster. Maybe she's just a one hit wonder? I am not sure ...

Incredibly cheesy predictable and boring story.I liked the Spanish love deception fine but this was not it.The MC is supposed to be smart and tough but she behaves so childish it was driving me mad. The book is supposed to be slow burn but it‘s more of an immediate love kind of trope.The way the male MC acts at the end is so incredibly frustrating and dumb, I simply skipped through most of the rest.Nothing original, funny or in any way nice thing about the book.

Lucas, hi. WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU SO DAMN PERFECT AND FICTIONAL AND HAD TO BE A PERSON I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MARRY WITHOUT LOOKING LIKA A COMPLETE LUNATIC.Thank you for coming to my ted talk.Okey seriously though, this man, is, perfect, and of course fictional and I will never meet him in real life and that makes me really really sad. I loved Lucas from the first second we meet him and I knew he would be this adorable man who would do anything for Rosie. Rosie and Lucas relationship throughout this hold book was just amazing and the groups, it wasn’t fake dating but it was fake dating, you know what I mean! It was just amazing and genius, this masterpiece of a romance book. I loved The Spanish love deception as well, its something with the way Elena Armas writes books that make me go obsessed with them. Both Aaron and Lucas are snacks and I would do anything for them. But there’s a difference between Lucas and Aaron, I cant put my finger on what. I adore them both but in two complete different ways.I also loved how we got to see Aaron and Lina in this book and what happened to them after their book. But it didn’t take away from that Rosie and Lucas were the MCs and that they had their own story’s. I loved that Rosie was a romance author struggling and that Lucas had his own trauma he was battening with it, they helped each other out from darker places and found the light together.The spice in this book as well was amazing and the slow burn just made it so much better!

Love love love! Would recommend this book if u like romance books, it‘s a slowburn love but sooo worth it

Rückwirkend betrachtet habe ich wohl zu viel erwartet, obwohl ich eigentlich ohne jegliche Voreingebungen an Bücher herangehe.Den Vorgänger, {the spanish love deception}, fand ich noch ganz okay, aber Rosies Geschichte hätte ehrlich gesagt nicht sein müssen.Von der Sache her ist die Grundidee mega gut. Nur war die Umsetzung, der Plot und die gesamte Storyline eher mäßig gelungen. 🙈😐Rosie hat ihren gut bezahlten Job aufgegeben, um an ihrem heimlichen Traum zu arbeiten: eine erfolgreiche Bestseller Autorin zu werden.Lucas, der Linas Cousin ist, ist ihr Gegenpart und steckt ebenfalls in einer misslichen Lage. Sie müssen sich damit arrangieren, das Appartement von Lina zu teilen. Rosie hat einen heimlichen Crush auf Lucas, was leider zu häufig betont wird - ohne dass etwas passiert.Dann beschließt er, nachdem sich beide viel voneinander erzählt haben, ihre Muse für den geplanten Roman zu sein und führt sie auf Dates aus.Wie gesagt, herrliche, wunderschöne Idee, aber die Geschichte hat mich irgendwo gar nicht berührt. 😳Aus meiner Sicht war zwischen Rosie und Lucas keine Chemie vorhanden. Ich konnte nichts fühlen. Sicher, es ist eine Slowburn Geschichte, aber ich habe absolut nichts gespürt. So dass es mir auch schwer gefallen ist, irgendeine Bindung zu den beiden aufzubauen. Für mich waren viele Handlungen und Emotionen nicht greifbar genug und auch nicht nachvollziehbar. 😐😔Im gesamten war {the american roommate experiment} schlicht und ergreifend einfach zu langweilig. Ich habe viele Seiten übersprungen und dabei das Gefühl gehabt, nichts verpasst zu haben, weil die Handlung einfach keine Fahrt aufgenommen hat.Fazit ist, dass ich den Hype absolut nicht nachvollziehen kann. Obwohl Elena Armas einen sehr angenehmen und gut lesbaren Stil beim Schreiben aufzeigt. Die zwischenmenschlichen Szenen und Dialoge sind ihr gut gelungen. 👍😊Ich finde es schade und ich entschuldige mich hundertmal dafür, dass ich so eine Rezension schreiben muss, aber dieses Buch ist nicht mein Fall.Aber es ist immer wieder faszinierend, wie unterschiedlich doch Geschmäcker sind. Und für diejenigen, die von diesem Buch begeistert waren, freue ich mich unheimlich.Ich kann traurigerweise nur zwei Sterne vergeben... 🌟🌟
