As is worthy of a Sir Terry book, this is beautifully done. The map that came along with it is amazing.10/10 buy, esp when on discount.

Wer hier einen Bildband voll Zeichnungen und Karten erwartet, der wird enttäuscht. Zwar liegt eine enorm grosse Faltkarte bei, aber ansonsten sind nur kleine Ausschnittzeichnungen an jedem Kapitelanfang vorhanden. Grösstenteils ist das Buch voller Beschreibungen der Länder, die irgendwann mal in der Scheibenwelt-Serie vorkommen. Die Beschreibungen sind aber vielfach inkonsistent und kanonisch nicht haltbar.Was wir hier haben ist der (in meinen Augen ziemlich dreiste) Versuch, aus dem Vermächtnis von Sir Terry nach dessen leider viel zu frühem Tod noch etwas Geld herauszuquetschen.Alles in allem billig gemacht und schwer enttäuschend.

Preislich völlig ok.Inhalt, wie immer sehr lustig.Poster der Scheibenwelt hat leider nicht eine übliche Größe und kann schlecht gerahmt werden,ansonsten genau was man haben will als Fan der Scheibenwelt.

Macht Spaß. wie alles aus der Scheibenwelt. Es ist schon unglaublich, was auf so einer Schildkröste alles stattfinden kann, auch wenn es nur ein Spiegelbild unserer Welt ist.

Très beau livre, avec une belle édition, de beaux matériaux, une belle impression et une carte gigantesque en annexe. Le livre est bourré de détails et de clins d’œil à l'univers de Pratchett, immanquable pour tout fan. Habitué aux versions françaises, j'ai trouvé cette édition en anglais bien sympa pour lire en VO les noms de lieux et de personnages originaux. On se rend compte du talent de traducteur de M. Couton, capable de rendre en français les jeux de mots anglais, en en respectant l'esprit.Je ne sais pas si une traduction française est prévue pour cet atlas, mais en tant que telle, cette édition anglaise est indispensable, et relativement accessible pour qui parle un peu d'anglais !

This is a beautifully done atlas of the Discworld. And it includes a huge map! with insets describing things like thaumaturgical fields...The presentation is wonderful: a hardcover book in a jacket that includes an elastic to hold it together, and which keeps the separate HUGE map in place so it does not slip out.It's a delight to read, too, whether straight through or at random. All of the separate areas have their own small maps in the text, too, which is fun. (I love maps!)I think all Discworld fans would love this, and I recommend it highly! Beautiful and useful!

Did you know the official currency of Ephebe is the derechmi? Or that the capital of Djelibeybi is New Djeli? Or that The Chalk's exports are sheep, wool, cheese, lamb, and sheep?The Compleat Discworld Atlas is a wonderful reference guide for any Discworld fan. It includes all kinds of facts, history, and trivia about locations all around the Discworld, and is just packed full of wonderful illustrations. There is even a handy gazetteer at the back, so you can easily find your favourite place.The two-sided, full-colour map included separately at the back of the book is worth the price itself. It is absolutely gorgeous. One side shows a map of the entire Discworld with major cities and features labelled. The other side is a fabulous illustration of the Discworld sitting on the back of the Great A'tuin, with two of the elephants just peeking out from underneath, and the pantheon of gods along the top.The Compleat Discworld Atlas is a great companion to and . It actually is the same form factor as The Compleat Ankh-Morpork. All three, along with the older maps, really help develop the lore surrounding the Discworld.

My boyfriend was really happy about the new Discworld Atlas.It is really pretty made, with lovely pictures and many details.The shipping was also very quick.

Super schönes Buch, welches ich meiner Schwester zu Weihnachten geschenkt habe. Zudem um einiges günstiger als im Buchhandel (Amazon: 25 Euro, Buchhandel: 42 Euro) da lohnt sich der Kauf online!

Sehr liebevolle Gestaltung des Buches, eine ansprechende und im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes Überblick verschaffende, beidseitig bedruckte Landkarte - ein Muss für alle Pratchett - und Scheibenwelt - Fans. Das Buch liest sich wie eine Geografie gewordene Zeitmaschine - zu jedem der bald 41 Werke der letzten 32 Jahre finden sich Hinweise, man trifft auf alte Bekannte in jeder beschriebenen Region.
