Es erzeugt einen Perlglanz-Heiligenschein um Highlights. Leichtere Noten sind nützlich, um die übermäßige Schärfe und den Kontrast moderner Film- und Objektivkombinationen zu definieren. Diese Hollywood/FX-Filter wurden ursprünglich für die TV- und Motion-Bilderindustrie entwickelt, sind aber jetzt für alle Fotografen und Videofilmer erhältlich.

If you think 1/4 is too weak & 1 is too strong of an effect, 1/2 can be a happy medium. Construction quality is up to the usual Tiffen standards. The halation effect is very pleasant without being totally over the top. The impact on sharpness does not seem to be that pronounced. I tried it on a Fujifilm 110mm f/2 and the pics still came out very sharp.

This filter can be used in different ways depending on your style of photography and what you’re shooting. For ME this filter takes away a lot of sharpness from an image. While I like the bloomy effect, it sometimes makes the image dull or look kind of foggy. I much prefer the 1/4 filter as it gives me more sharpness while also delivering the bloom effect I like.

It's lovely but if you don't know what what you're doing with it, please don't buy it. The filter softens your highlights but still keeps a decent amount of overall sharpness.

Right now I'm wondering if that was a good investment because I'm not loving the results from a photographic perspective.What I notice when shooting like for like shots - with and without the filter - the light is definitely more evenly diffused with the filter (so less contrast) but the overall effect is also a softening of the focus on the subject. Sure it reduces the impact of facial lines and blemishes but images also have less punch.The jury's still out for me on this one.
