Bought these a few months ago in anticipation for the spring and not even 5 min with the black stone turned on it’s starting to blisters. The unfortunate thing is that the wing guard is not even touching the black stone.

All descriptions and images in the listing were accurate and the item arrived on time.I was "late" to the Blackstone craze, but absolutely love the way it has changed the way my family cooks and eats! But one of the issues I had was that on windy days, the flames / heat wouldn't distribute evenly on the griddle. This caused one side (or the front or back) of the griddle to be hotter than the other. This was very frustrating to me as I was trying to learn.These wind guards made all the difference in the world! They are magnetic and just STICK to the sides of the griddle to block the wind from redistributing the heat. I have NO idea why Blackstone didn't build wind guards into the griddle, but this simple and quick fix took care of the problem.The only issue that I have noticed is that the griddle runs a little hotter with them in place than it does without them. But I simply adjusted the flow of fuel down to get the temperature I wanted on the entire griddle, and save propane in the process.HIGHLY recommended!!!

Upgraded Wind Guard for Blackstone 36 Inch Griddle, Blackstone Griddle Accessories Magnetic Stainless Steel for Blackstone GrillPerfect addition to a 36-inch Blackstone Grill to block the wind from the sides and rear. These are magnetic and attach to the bottom of the sides and rear of the griddle to block the wind from hitting the burners while they are lit through the inch wide or so gab between the base of your Blackstone grill which houses the burners and the griddle itself.Make sure you follow these instructions and place them properly for optimal coverage: The wind guards with three vents attach on the sides and wind guards with two vents attach on the rear. And on both the sides and the rear the vent opening faces down, just as the vents face on the Blackstone base itself. (see photos)

The side wind guards are over an inch shorter than a competitors and even that seemed too short to block all of the wind. I like the rear design and they seem to stay in place fine and cover well. The sides however do not appear to fit the way they are designed. The louvers face up when they stick to the base instead of the griddle. If you stick them to the griddle like the rear guards they don't seem to cover or stay put. I knocked them off a few times moving the grill around my deck. I switched back to my stainless set as they seem to cover more and the magnets are much stronger. They should work if you don't move your grill around often.
