My 2014 Volkswagen beetle convertible was leaking oil, so I purchased this replacement engine oil drain plug…Its honestly works better than the original Volkswagen engine oil drain plug that my car came with!

Plug fit in my 2012 Audi Q5 2.0T smoothly. Threads were perfect fit and so far no leaks. I though about using my original crush washer with the T25 Factory Torx Drain Plug but decided to go with the one that came with new 19mm Hex Drain Plug. All is good with that decision. Like others, I might decide to purchase a Mityvac canister or something similar for future oil changes. I'm glad I was able to remove stripped Torx without bringing to dealership or other mechanic. If you have similar situation using locking pliers or vice grips on whatever you can bite onto from outside of factory torx and as long as it hadn't been tightened too much you should be able to remove. Get that vice grip on tight so the teeth bite and tighten the spindle even more once on maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch with channel locks. Then it will really grab and with a little turn counter clockwise you should be good to go. I didn't use heat or torch but I did spray with a little PB blaster and let sit for an hour.
