Not too heavy and a very good finish. Easy to handle and negotiate different sorts of tea packets. I tend to use it heaped rather than level with the bigger leaf teas, as I find it gives a better measure for my taste in tea strength.

It feels a bit cheap, but it measures well and it's at least somewhat sturdy. Very nice for anyone who likes to brew loose-leaf teas.

I bought this spoon and a few others to compare. This one is by far the most attractive and highest quality. It also does indeed hold exactly 1 teaspoon when checking with water and holding level. As you can see in the image, it looks like it's a bit smaller then the tea spoon so many people sell that has "1 CUP OF PERFECT TEA" incised into the handle, and quite a bit smaller than the decorative oval version sold by Harney & Sons.Guess what? They all hold just about the same amount of tea. This spoon holds exactly 1 teaspoon of water when holding level, the PERFECT spoon holds 1 teaspoon with a little room to spare (maybe about 1/16th inch, if that, and the decorative spoon from Harney & Sons also holds exactly 1 teaspoon of water when level.None of this has to be a deal killer, though. Just buy the spoon you like and you'll learn to adjust to scoop the tea out a little more level or a little more rounded for that particular spoon. I've tried brewing three pots side by side and measuring each one and all three pots came out essentially the same, with no discernible difference in flavor from one to the other. So the takeaway here? Stop caring for perfection and just use any of these spoons and enjoy your tea.Of the three spoons I tried, this spoon by Vahdam is by far the best looking version, as it's polished stainless steel and like the flatware you most likely use when dining. The others have a non-glassy satin look that's not as appealing. This is indeed a lightweight spoon, but that's only a first impression. It has nothing to do with the quaity or "cheapness" of the spoon, only with how much something of its size weighs compared to what you're used to. You get used to it and don't even think about it after a couple uses, and again, side by side, this is the most attractive and quality-looking version. While personally I would have molded this so the edge came to a rounded point rather than a flat edge a fraction of an inch thick (for better feel in the hand), there's nothing wrong with this and it's much like any dinnerware piece. It just would have made the spoon just about perfection and slightly more elegant in feel and look.Of the people complaining about its quality, I have to wonder if they received authentic product from Vahdam. I did (in February 2020).Side by side this is WORLDS better quality and finish than the version that says PERFECT on the handle, and when checking capacity with water and holding level, this one beats the PERFECT teaspoon.I tried a frew. This one's the best, and I would definitely recommend it and buy it again myself. The Harney & Soons oval spoon is a nice choice if you want something small you can keep inside a tea caddy of a blend you've made up yourself (or your daily blend you keep in a porcelain tea caddy or whatever. instead of a proprietary tin) It's small enough and short enough to just be kept in the caddy for daily use, and it's stainless, so it won't interact with your tea inside the caddy that it rests on. With this style of spoon you do have to work a little more to get it rounded just right, but that becomes second nature very quickly.Again, with any of these spoons, you're going to make a pot of tea, and if it's a little weak you'll adjust and make it a little more rounded the next time, and from there it becomes second nature as long as you're using the same spoon, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being an absolutely perfect teaspoon from one model to the other. I'm just saying the Vahdam and Harney & Sons versions are, from my comparisons.

Da unser Plastikteelöffel gebrochen ist, haben wir uns diesen Löffel gekauft.Die Dosierung geht einfach und durch den Edelstahl geht es auch nicht so einfach kaputt.
