The magnetic pad terminal points do not have continuity to the spades on the back. Upon seperating the parts with an allen wrench, I could see that the 4 posts that keep it from rotating were too long and not allowing the pads on the two sides to touch each other. I was able to get it to work by cutting a leg of a spade connector and putting them on each terminal and then putting the 2 halves back together. Unusable without some cheesy solution but got it working fine now but I was troubleshooting my work for quite a bit of time before realizing the problem was the part. :(
