This was a great stool, and I used it every day, before it almost killed me. I researched these and bought Vigar because it received design awards, so I figured it would be sturdy and safe. It was, until it wasn't. With only four months of indoor, normal use by a 130-lb woman, the bottom "rung" cracked nearly in half. Very dangerous! If it had collapsed while I was standing on it I would have tumbled to the floor, and very likely been badly hurt. I found an office phone number online for Vigar USA, but there is no company website in English where I can get specific product warranty info. I suppose a personal injury lawyer could dig up all this information more easily, but at least it's fortunate that I don't need one. I am really disappointed, I thought this was a reliable and safe product. But it is unreliable, and unsafe at any speed!

Out of the three stools we use this one the most. Especially with our toddler that needs a slight boost to wash her hands but is too short to get on top of the middle stool, therefore the step is perfect for her.We live in a small space in the city therefore it’s perfect for hiding when in not use in small nooks

Der Tritt ist gut und hat eine für uns passende Größe. Wenn er aufgeklappt steht, steht er sicher und hat eine gute Stabilität.2 kleine Nachteile. Die Aufkleber soll man aus Sicherheitsgründen drauf lassen. Aber die lösen sich ständig und sehen nicht gut aus.Das Aufklappen des Trittes ist umständlich könnt könnte verbessert werden. Da s ist eine Fummelei und sollte mit einer Hand möglich sein. Man braucht aber beide Hände. Zusammenklappen geht gut mit einer Hand.

We are returning the stool because it is difficult to open. The interior edges are beveled down so tightly it requires inserting fingernails to get hold of it and pull it open for use. Why in the world any design engineer thought this was a good idea is beyond me.You can see in my first picture what it looks like, contrasted with our old one which we can easily grasp the inside with fingertips and let it fall open.
