The quality of this cord feels great. It is nicely tucked away in your kit when not in use and I feel as though it is strong enough for most small setups. I wouldn't have a problem leaving it attached to my mirrorless cropped sensor z30 as shown in the photos however, I would feel a bit concerned with it holding the weight of my full frame z6ii with a 70-200 f/2.8, battery grip, etc... and it's not because of the cord. The cord can hold it. My concern comes with the carabiner rings and straps that are attached to the camera. Notice in my photos that I have PD attachment points and have not put the included attachment points on my camera. I guess I have more trust with PD since I have that system on several pieces of equipment and is tried and true. And the carabiner rings... I feel like that cheap little hinge is a failure point. Back to the "holding a heavy system" statement... it wouldn't be comfortable for this. The heavier my rig gets when I build it out for different scenarios, the wider my strap gets... I wouldn't want this around my neck while I'm carrying a full load out... That said, this will be used for times when I'm going out with minimal gear for photo/video. I may change some hardware to be compatible with what I already have. If you are looking for a paracord strap for your lightweight carry around though... I don't think there is anything wrong with this one.

I was skeptical about the mount of this strap. But it quickly became one of my favorite! Works best for bigger cameras. I wouldn’t put it on compact like Fuji X line. I use it with GFX and old medium format film cameras like Bronica ETR and Yashica TLR.You cannot adjust the length of the strap, so make sure it’s not too long for you. I’m 5’11” or 180 cm and it is just right. On the longer side, but I like it.Love that strap!

I don't like the strap on my Sony Camera. I got this and it is much more comfortable but I couldn't string it thru the strap holders on the side. So I cut the strap on both sides and attached it to the remaining strap ends and works just great. Much more comfortable than the original.

AMAZON VINE Review of the VKO Paracord Camera StrapThe VKO Paracord Strap leverages the strength and stretch of parachute suspension lines (paracord) to carry our expensive and fragile optics safely and securely. Whether a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera and Lens or a pair of Birding or Nautical Binoculars these stylish, strong, and inexpensive straps will support and keep your optics close while you use them. This strap is made by artisans who begin with two strands of Type 3 paracord -rated at 650 lbs. per line. The two lines braided together have a break strength of 1300 pounds and a stretch factor of 30%.The actual stretch rating for Type 3 paracord will be higher than 30%, but ALL Mil-Spec paracord MUST have at least 30% stretch. Type 1 paracord is rated at 550 pounds per line with 30% stretch. Type 3 paracord, used in this strap, has a higher 650-pound break rate and a MINIMUM stretch of 30%.That stretch factor is important. There is a substantial jerk upwards as a parachute deploys overhead of a jumper and stops their accelerating fall toward Earth. Without that stretch, the jumper would be subjected to the full force of their falling weight just as a heavy camera would if the line were snagged or held fast while forward motion continued. The VKO strap is lightweight, is non-reactive to heat or cold and since it is nylon it is naturally resistant to mildew or rot.I have paracord rescue weights (paracord braided around a four-pound dive weight) to throw to distressed divers or swimmers that are almost 50 years old. They are always present at our saltwater dive sites and in chlorine swimming pools for initial training in their use. They show faint wear and some loss of color but are as good today as when I made them in 1976. They are always rinsed in fresh water and air dried before putting them away until next time. When they are especially abused during Divemaster training they get washed with mild soap and air dried. I expect they will still be saving divers long after I am a memory. Paracord is tough stuff. The VKO straps come in a variety of colors and two lengths 105 cm (41.3 inches) and 120 cm (47.3 inches). I have the 105 cm version in Light Gray, and it hangs just above my waist. It took only a few minutes for my hands to close on the camera without thinking about it. The extra thickness of the strap helps bear the weight of the Nikon Z9 camera, a Nikkor Z 70-200 f2.8 VR S lens, and Flashpoint R2 XPROC II flash trigger.Their combined weight is a few ounces shy of seven pounds. That does not sound like much until you hang it from your neck for a 79-minute photo shoot as I did yesterday. Full disclosure, I usually wear an over the shoulder harness that allows the camera to hang at my left side for easy retrieval and swing up to my shutter hand for studio shoots, but I altered the script for this review and the strap did not disappoint. The strap held the camera rig steady at my waist. It was always there unless I had it up to eye-level to shoot. I always work tethered in the studio and the tether cable was always clear of the camera strap. I mention that because the harness has been known to “catch” the tether cable just past the 90-degree USB-C port on the camera. The neck strap hangs taut when the camera is not in hand and falls to my chest when there is slack. Always stays clear of the tether. There is something interesting in that, but what that is I am not yet sure. I will need to do some "tether" research.I need to mention the aesthetics of this camera strap from VKO. They are beautifully made. The braid is artisan work, handmade and then the support materials and hardware are added. ALL of the metal hardware that MIGHT touch the body of the camera is wrapped in the leather lug guard that is first placed over and around the lugs. A nice touch, to be sure, but also a guard against abrasion. The “split rings” that are threaded into the leather ends of the strap are actually carabiner rings with an “easy open” gate that makes installation and removal easy. And the leather foldover tabs that terminate the paracord are cross stitched through the braid for strength and rigidity. It is masterful work and deserves our appreciation.I expect this paracord strap will still be perfect years from now. It has the DNA of parachute suspension lines dating from World War II and has only gotten better since then. It is now stronger, has more stretch, and is more colorful than its olive drab G.I. forebears. We are lucky to have it so VKO can create these exceptional camera straps for us.AMAZON VINE Review of this VKO Paracord Camera Strap in Light Gray.FIVE STARS! For strength, design, build quality, and artisan inspiration in the braid.Mark in North Carolina

I bought this strap because I can remove it quicker than removing the strap that came with my Canon EOS 60D. I bought a Canon 100-400mm lens and a shoulder strap that attaches directly to the lens. I didn't want the original strap that came with the camera getting in the way when shooting with the 100-400mm and it is a pain to taking it off and putting it back on due to my rather large hands & fingers. The VKO Camera Strap is quick to remove and to reattach as needed. It is also very sturdy and will last a lifetime. Also, it looks great on the camera. One point to be aware of if you are putting this on a Canon (or at least an EOS 60D), the attachment points are not alike. Looking down on the camera, the attachment point on the left sticks straight out from the camera. No problem. The attachment point on the right is pointing up. I could not get the split ring to fit in the small leather after getting it on the attachment point. My solution was to get a small triangular split ring on the camera attachment point then connect the round split ring onto it. Worked like a charm.
