I returned this because the small was too small despite measuring and following guidance. The box was also destroyed - the packing is weak which kind of doesn't matter but may reflect the general attention to detail. This manufacturer is trying to position itself as a quality brand, but it's not really.So, it's of limited quality, which may not be surprising for a $100 leather hat. The leather is OK or low quality. It's got a beat-up appearance, which is appropriate to the style. There is no lining, and it looks like the kind of leather which might self-destruct over time. Expect this hat to get worn out pretty fast. Hopefully actually hold together but the stitching and all that doesn't lend a lot of confidence.Also, the construction is weak - the band is glued on, and where the ends of the band come together, it was rough-cut and unfinished, the ends didn't align cleanly, and the glue used was not well-applied - out of the box, it was coming loose. Had I not returned it for sizing, this is the kind of quality where you have to do stuff right away e.g. glue it yourself, take it to a shoe repair shop, treat the leather for durability, etc.However, the style is hard to find and I like it - so after searching for a higher quality alternative from a better hat-maker, I still decided to get a medium and keep my fingers crossed that the next one happens to be better made. Most likely, it will require additional work to keep it from falling apart at some point.

Craftsmanship and quality outstanding! Fits perfect and is now my favorite hat! I feel it was made just for me!!!

My new top favourite hat I have 30 I had a short brim felt fadora but it got damaged so this is a replacement I have added extra wax to waterproof and customise the look and plan to use it as part of a Halloween costume a character from Watchmen graphic novel and film.
