Um meinen VW Beetle vor Umweltschäden zu bewahren, habe ichmir diese Abdeckplane mit Fahrzeug spezifischer Passform undReflektoren aus 210D Oxford/Polyester der Marke luolety zumtesten bestellt. Sie eignet sich für alle Beetls bis zum Baujahr 2023.Diese vollständige Auto Abdeckung hat an der Fahrertür einenReißverschluss, damit man, wenn man einmal ins Innere muss, nichtimmer die ganze Plane annehmen muss. Dazu zur Lackschonunginnen eine Baumwollfutterschicht. Mit den integrierten Gurtenwird die Abdeckung so fest gezurrt, sodass sie bei Sturm nicht dasWeite sucht. Alles ist gut verarbeitet und von guter Qualität.

Diese Autogarage ist zwar für den VW Beetle optimiert, aber da ich für meinen Chevrolet Spark, der in Europa relativ selten ist, keine passende Garage gefunden habe, habe ich mich an den Außenabmessungen orientiert und es mit der Beetle-Garage ausprobiert. Sie passt. Die Garage ist zwar etwas größer als nötig, aber das macht nichts – im Gegenteil, es ist besser, als wenn sie zu eng wäre.Da ich die Garage ohnehin mit zusätzlichen, gummierten, sehr starken Neodym-Magneten sichere, kann sie nicht verrutschen oder weggeweht werden. Daher ist die exakte Passform nicht so wichtig.Das Material ist gut verarbeitet und die Innenseite hat eine weiche Baumwollbeschichtung, die den Lack sehr gut schont.Leider hatte ich im Vorfeld nicht bedacht, dass mein Spark eine kleine, im flachen Winkel abstehende Stummel-Antenne direkt über der Frontscheibe hat. Die Plane passt zwar trotzdem drüber, aber langfristig würde entweder die Antenne oder die Plane beschädigt werden. Aus diesem Grund habe ich für diese Situation ein Kunststoffrohr für die Regenrinne einseitig geschlitzt und die Unterseite mit Schaumstoffkufen versehen. Dieser Tunnel, der über die Antenne kommt, ist zusätzlich auf jeder Seite mit zwei kleinen gummierten Neodym-Magneten befestigt. Die Magnete sind mit dem Antennenschutz verschraubt.Damit ist die Garage perfekt für jede Jahreszeit. Die Reißverschlusstür ist ein unglaublich praktisches Gimmick, das ich so noch nie zuvor gesehen habe.

The cover is made of good quality, rainproof material and seems sturdy enough to withstand strong winds when properly secured. However, as a custom fit for my car make and model, I expected a more snug fit, but it’s about 10-20% too large, causing excess material to flap in the wind. The flimsy zip is another downside; it failed on me early, requiring manual adjustment to get it working again, and I’m doubtful it will last through the product’s expected lifespan. Overall, it would have rated higher if the fit and zip were improved.Update a few weeks on. The zip has completely failed, resulting in the need to swap this out… probably a lot easier to do this yourself that exchange and have the same issue again.

I don't actually own a beetle but would love to one day, however I do own a small mpv car that I'm going to be selling soon and wanted to stop moss growing on it while I wait for a sale as it sits stationary on my parents drive. I was starting to get a bit desperate in finding something to use as there is no room for my car in the double garage. So when this came up for review, I really hoped it would work and give a general review as a car cover. Ok, wo my car is not remotely the same shape but my car is smaller and if it just covered the top half I would be more than happy especially as somewhere along the roof line the car has started leaking in water ( not what you want when trying to sell car).I was surprised just how big this cover is and more than ample enough for my car. It has an elasticated bottom edge and a drawstring which yu pull tight. There are straps too which fit under the car but I'm lucky as where the car is parked, I don't feel I need to use. So far as it has been on two weeks no further drops reported which proves it's waterproof. As I have never used a car cover before, I cannot comment on its quality or whether it's value for money but for my situation it has really helped.
