The SIM7600E-H 4G HAT is a 4G/3G/2G communication and GNSS positioning module, which supports LTE CAT4 up to 150Mbps for downlink data transfer. it is pretty low power consumption.
You can connect this 4G module with computer to surf the Internet, or attach it onto Raspberry Pi to enable functions like 4G high speed connection, wireless communication, making telephone call, sending SMS, global positioning, etc.

Acheté sim7600e-h, c'est un peu cher pour ce que j'en fais c'est à dire juste pour sms.Free à 2€, sms fonctionnels via rpi 3b et gammu-smsd et via les GPIO donc sans usb (/dev/ttyS0). Marche nickel.Jai fait un petit trou dans le boîtier officiel pour l'antenne (côté carte sd) et ça passe pile PoilAttention au débranchement de l'antenne, le petit port peut s'arracher car l'antenne se fixe assez solidement. J'ai eu ce soucis, et renvoi sans pb avec Amazon, au top bien que le support waveshare n'avait guère de solution à me proposer (impossible a ressouder a la main).On voit clairement la qualité et je suis trop noob pour l'exploiter à fond.Je cherche à contrôler l'écoute du vpn d'un petit pare-feu (weidian, prit sur Amazon) mis sous pfsense.Celui ci remplace une box, l'objectif étant d'éviter de laisser le vpn en écoute en permanence et de ne l'activer qu'en cas de besoin par sms.

Tuve varias incidencias para hacerlo funcionar con algunas líneas españolas (vodafone) y gracias al SAT de Waveshare pude solucionarlo y dejarlo funcionando (con Movistar/o2).Tardan un poco en responder pero la verdad es que ayudan mucho y proporcionan/solicitan mucha información para acotar bien la incidencia.

It works great once you get it running. The internet is fast and the gos works great! The bigest problem with it is that you have to do so much setup to get it running. Yes they do have a wiki for it on how to do it, but it is poorly written and you have to keep trying out your self so much before you get it right. So I would say that this thing is wery good for some one with expierence with theirs module types. But for a beginner I would recomend something different. The only way to fix this is they (Waveshare) could make it easyer to use and setup.

Fonctionne très bien avec gammu. Le module est très stable avec une alim de 3a.
