It's a nice cover. Supposedly water proof, hope it is and stays that way. I live in FL so.....It was pretty tough to get on but it's snug fitting and hasn't moved at highway speeds. I have a 12000lb winch and it barely fit. Can't beat the price. Hopefully it won't fade too soon.

I bought this to preserve my winch and keep dry; works good.The title says "heavy duty" it's definitely not heavy duty; that's doesn't mean I don't like it but let's be honest...not heavy duty

It's a shower cap for the winch. The cover is made from thick, strong material with a robust elastic band sewn in to hold the cover in place.This is a larger item intended for full size winches. I'm using it on a smaller ATV winch. The cover is a bit big ( smaller covers are not available through Amazon) so I wrap a bungee cord around the cover to ensure it stays in place. However, if my winch were full size, this cover likely would stay in place without a bungee

I didn't realize it when I ordered it that it was not mass produces. When I got it and saw the note about it, I looked it over very closely to find any flaws I could. The only thing I found was some excess string left over from a stitch and it came right off. I wouldn't know it wasn't from a major producer if they put a big logo on it. Super heavy duty construction and material!I have the Badland Apex 12k winch on my Jeep and it fits like a glove, literally like a tight glove as it's a monster winch for my TJ. The second one I got we put on the other Jeep with the Badland 12k winch and that one has a little more wiggle room. I was worried that they could blow off with the wind while driving and I do not have any worries anymore after seeing how well they fit.Highly recommended if you have a winch that you want to protect. I have a pair of ski pants I used on ski patrol that have the reinforced seat and knees and knelt in the snow and sat in it for years and they never wore out or leaked, this reminds me of the same material, except it is new. I expect the cover will outlast the frame on my jeep and still be good when I have to swap everything to another one when I replace it.

The cover is described as fitting "up to" 12K. I have a 12K (Mile Marker) winch. It is a bit difficult to get onto my winch - because of the elastic strap at the bottom - which is non adjustable - and has a small opening. The 'adjustment' is the elastic. However - my particular install also has an Iron Cross bumper - and the Winch has a very tight space because of height in the place it is located. So, it makes it hard installing any cover. When I purchased the Winch - I also purchased a Mile Marker cover. That has deteriorated to the point of new cover needed. It was always a slight pain to pull it around and install. But much easier than this Cover - because of the small opening at the bottom - created by the elastic - which must be stretched. The Cover seems to be nicely made - and the price was excellent. The material is slightly thinner than a 'neoprene' cover material like the Miler Marker - which the Sun destroyed over a few years. I also purchased a cheap 'neoprene' cover - and was fitting this Cover over That one - to protect the 'neoprene' one from the Sun. If your winch is more accessible - this would probably fit just fine.
