My seat swivel base was so narrow that it could get out of this base if it was all the way to the side and pushed a little or bouncing in rough waves. Then the seat will fall off with the passenger.

Loved these seat anchors. Well made and I was able to get my old seats on them by loosening the bolts and creating a wider gap for the mount on the seat. Good quality.

The swivels i have on my boat seat are new and come from Canadiantire .The openings on the quick release is about 7 1/8'' the swivels are also 7 1/8'' so they won't go in also the depth of the quick release is 6 7/8'' so you have to grind your swivels down to just below 6 7/8'' in order for the lock to go by the swivel to hold it in place . I like the construction of the quick release it's strong and after grinding my swivels down they fit like a glove .The company also mentions it Fits 6.75" Trendler-Wise Brand Swivels. you might want to check them out they might go on without grinding . I'd buy them again any day their great

product is great, well made and works as advertised. Amazon shipped item that weighs 2lbs and is made of plastic in thin plastic bag when it should have been in a box so corner was chipped.

Pro: seems strong enough to accommodate over-weight old guy. Easy to order, and shipped fast. Seems to fit other manufacturer's pedestals.Con: Mounting bolt pattern is not the same as that of other manufacturer. Big nuisance remaking a custom base to accommodate it. Wise should reach out to others and encourage standardization. Would recommend it to others if bolt pattern is not an issue.
