Trying to power a non-inductive 12 volts DC load that draws 2 amps. (POE internet cameras). This relay is very noisy and the unit performed very intermittently. I finally bypassed the photo relay module and everything started working flawlessly. Same problem with a 2nd unit. I have had trouble with other units that use this same SRD-12VDC-SL-C relay. The relay is rated for 10 amps but cannot cleanly supply 2 amps. I suppose it might work for LED lights, but not for anything that needs clean power!!!

I used one of these to sense light levels to auto-control my chicken coop door. I added a 12 volt DPDT relay between this and a 12 volt 18" linear actuator and it works great. No more letting the chickens out and closing them in.This is an edit to my review. Both of these failed. One in a few days. The other today. They are lightly loaded with a small 12 VDC DPDT relay that drives a linear actuator. No excuse. Junk. Gonna try to find something that is better quality. Shouldn't be very hard.

Works great, easy to set up. Can put the sensor in a small tube to make it directional.

Just got these today.. tested them and they work. Very easy to attach and adjust with the onboard pot.

Works as advertised. Used it to control lights on HO scale train layout. When the train stops over the photocell, the lights in the station come on. Adjusts easily to room light. I've ordered more for other uses on the layout. Price is certainly right.
