The installation was easy enough, the build quality seems cheap in areas but when you consider what you get for a floor fan its about expected.The light output and settings are good really bright cool to warm and dimmable. I would have liked it to go a bit darker but that's not a huge issue.The fan is good the spread isn't great so I might reposition it more over the bed but its a small fan diameter with the light shroud blocking the edge so its directed mostly downwards. variable speed options are nice (the old one only had 3). I wouldn't say its silent in operation but that's mostly turbulent noise. the frame and motor don't seem to make a huge amount of noise but you can obviously hear the air moving (I suspect because of how close it is to the ceiling itself.)Connecting it to the smart apps was a doddle the remote is also good though more options in the app for fine tuning.I consider myself rather fussy when it comes to this kind of thing (I value my sleep) The old fitting we had was the more traditional style with wooden blades and pull cords. It did the job but it was noisy because of the build design and old motor, It hung low from the ceiling, and the light output even with a good bulb was awful. for the money id say you cant go wrong with this. I'm sure there is better out there for more money and if you want to spend that go for it but this ticked all my boxes smart, clean looking, quiet and effective.
