This is a two pack of little genius items. They are first and foremost VERY nice looking pieces of well turned marble - very aesthetically pleasing and smooth and well produced. So nice you could happily have on the counter top and it would look super stylish. Fits both my rolling pins really well and I found that one stand was plenty for one rolling pin - so I have both now sitting flat in my baking drawer with my rolling pins now safely held and no rolling to and fro when I open the drawer. There are four great little clear sillicone 'feet' on the base of each the marble blocks and these 'stick' (no residue, just the power of silicone) onto whatever they are sitting on and don't move or slide around. They hold super firm in my drawer and on my worktops too - so no sliding around or knocking them off by accident (as they'd probably crack a floor tile if they did as they are sturdy blocks of marble). A lovely gift for any baker, super practical and a very fair price for what they are and how nice they look. An easy five stars from me.

It's entirely possible to imagine that these stone utensil holders would be rather superfluous in the average kitchen, certainly if you don't use a rolling pin often or have somewhere to store it securely when you do, but having used them for a while now it's been impressive how useful they can be: most of the time I use one by the side of the hob to hold whatever utensil I happen to be cooking with currently, preventing a spatula or the like which is coated in currently-cooking food from making a mess sitting on the worktop. The blocks each have four non-slip pads underneath to hold them in place, rather securely even on a smooth worktop, and the polished stone upper surfaces are very easy to wipe clean. Because I'm just that way I decided to see if they were really anything like 'marble', and a little vinegar dripped on the unpolished underside of one certainly seemed to cause a bit of fizzing and leave a visible mark which is a good indicator; the stone is certainly attractive whatever type it is, yet not so vivid as to clash with the average kitchen decor, although as the vinegar example shows it would definitely be a good idea not to expose them to acidic foods etc. for any length of time if you don't want them marred by the reaction. They are a little rough around the edges (literally in the case of the unpolished portions), but a nice and surprisingly handy addition to the kitchen.
