I bought this to make a different shaped loaf to the regular round one. The banneton is the perfect size for an oval loaf. The scoring tool works brilliantly! Having used everything from knives to utility knives, I was very happy that it sliced through my dough with ease. Handy to get spare blades and the scraping tool works well too.

I ordered this banneton because, while they are by no means necessary, they add a nice touch to homemade loaves. Loaves that have prooved in a banneton have a nice artisanla look; and with the provided lame the crust can be decorated to allow the loaf to rise properly while baking, but also to add personal decoration. I have a round banneton, and this oval one means that I can also make more bloomer-style loaves. The liner is a soft calico-style fabric, which I washed immediately to remove any dressing that might remain, and it retained its shape and texture well. If you like to bake your own bread, these bannetons are a great addition to your baking kit. Recommended!

Good set , I especially like the bread scoring double edge razor blade. Set is overall good quality however I found £16.99 expensive.
