This power board works very well and is easy to fit to the RasPI using the supplied stand-offs and screws. Obviously once fitted the unit doesn't fit in any of the standard cases.Main benefit is that it allows you to use a PD spec charger to power your RasPI rather than having to get tan official charger. It works well and testing with a Samsung fast charger (60W) it happily provided sufficient power without throttling or power warnings. I also tried it with a 12v wall-wart type power supply and that worked equally well, though the slightly oddly sized barrel connector required me to dig our an adapter for the supply that I've never used before. All that being said it's hard to see the major benefit of this little device. It's twice the price of an official charger so you're really paying for whatever benefit you get for having an easily accessible on/off switch and the ability to set another switch to automatically restart or not the RasPi after a power interruption. I suppose the ATX power output that's fitted might be beneficial for some use cases too but nothing springs to mind for my needs.Your mileage may vary but I've gone back to using an official charger and nice silent case to protect everything.

Works as advertised, very neat and compact board with good quality components. But since the world seems to have standardised on DC5521 power jacks the use of a smaller one is annoying but not insurmountable. Also the linking USB C-USBC power cable is a bit long for my application, gets in the way.But this wouldn't stop me recommending this product.

This GeekPi Power expansion board is meant for use with the latest Raspberry Pi 5 model, although it does fit on earlier models 3 and 4 too it has limited functionality for these apart from providing a power button and allowing a DC source to power the boards (you will also need a USB-C to micro-USB cable for the PI 3 boards) - also the spacing above the USB ports is very close on these boards (see photo) so you should add some insulating electrical tape.On the Raspberry Pi 5 the board fits better with good clearance and this is the intended use of the board. As you may know, the Pi 5 has an unusual power supply specification, 5A @ 5V which is not supported by most commonly available PD (Power Delivery) chargers. This board will allow most PD chargers that supply more than 25W to deliver the required power at 5V so you won't need to buy the official Raspberry Pi 5 power supply. But it also has a DC input jack allowing 9V-12V DC chargers to be used. I was quite excited with this option as I have several old 12V supplies rated at 3A and more that I don't have many other uses for. However a slight snag, the DC input jack on the board is not a standard size for a 12V jack, it is much thinner than usual, so none of my 12V power supplies fitted. I will have to get an adapter to test this option out in future, shame since this is a very nice feature of the board which I think many would want to make use of.Apart from that, the additional power button is useful (since the hat would make it difficult to reach the original on-board one) and there is even an "over-ride" switch so you can can have the power "always on" once connected (no need to switch on/off). There is also a 4-PIN ATX 5V output which will be useful for some projects but I would suggest covering with insulating tape if you are not using it.A short USB-C to USB-C cable, screws and stand-offs are supplied and even a small screwdriver to assemble it (which is very easy).
