So I could not pass up this for the price, I saw several reviews talking about poor quality so I was suspicious, but when this showed up it was in excellent condition, flat, true. Then so many talked about the tip was awful, I had no issues, I did shape it a bit, but when I used it I loved it. I have only had this for a week but for now I can say great breaking stick for the price!!

Great product for the price!Great overall condition, smooth unions, and Straight shaft. This is a 1 practice night review. 10- 9 ball games, and probably 10 jump attempts.Improved my 9-ball break. I made 3 nine ball breaks out of 10 tries. If that continues I will be very happy.I am new to jumping as I am introducing a jump to my game. I found it easy to jump with this cue. I didn't make any shots but I cant blame that on the cue. I cleared every ball with ease, and hit every object ball I shot at.

I'm an experienced player that has also restored & refinished pool cues. First, the Canadian Maple shaft rolls dead straight (the one thing I was concerned about). The finish on the Zebra wood is exceptional. The cue looks much better than the photos. Even the wrap was very well done. When I showed it to my wife, she said "Wow. That is a beautiful pool cue." My straight pool/9 ball league play starts soon. I already know there are guys that are going to be asking me where they can buy this cue.On top of it being an exceptional cue (at any price), it comes with joint protectors, an extra tip, and a carrying bag, which I will never use, but it was a nice touch. The value to price ratio on this one is off the charts. I used it for the first time yesterday and it hits solid, but will take some practice. One of the guys noticed it and said it's a beautiful cue. I asked a friend to guess what I paid for it. His answer: about $300.UPDATE: I've used this break cue for 11 weeks and it has exceeded my expectations. At one point, I considered changing to a leather tip, but have kept the original. It really does hit hard. In 9 ball, whenever I hit it the 1 ball solid, everything is spread open. Same experience with 8 ball. One of the best purchases I've ever made.A friend of mine told me that you won't be able to 'hit it low with that tip' in order to keep the cue ball in the center of the table. He's wrong. After a little practice, I'm able to do just that. One more thing; some commenters in the review have said that the cue makes an odd sound. It does. That's because of the material that the tip is made out of ... it has ZERO to do with the cue. All phenolic tips make that same odd sound.Latest update (4/11/2025) I still like the cue very much, however, I finally changed the phenolic tip to a le Pro hard leather and feel that I have way more control with that tip.

Nice hard tip and solid strike breaking cue. I've used it for a few weeks now and I'm very happy. You can add weight if you want but 21 Oz's are good for me. I'm an above average pool player. I've been playing pool for many years and always play in a league. I've tried many break cue from league players and this one feels as good if not better. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this cue a couple weeks ago and so far I have been very surprised by it. You never know what you are gonna get with a cue around this price, but it is definitely a great value. I have been able to have controlled breaks, which usually means more games won!
