I’ve been following this author on Instagram and really wanted to read her work. This was one of those books that I finished quickly but tried to savour by limiting how much of it I read each day. I felt her youth but also be very impressed by how in tune she is with her emotions and place in the world. The experiences with depression made me feel connected to the writer. It’s a worthwhile read and I highly recommend.

This book is some of the most unique graphic novel i have read recently. The story is not that complex, it's about girl who is suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts that maybe passed down in her family. This book stands out due to the unique execution of the story. Its not like a comic you read, but it has every every art and technique used in this medium. I highly recomend to check it out.

Diese Graphic Novel ist schonungslos ehrlich mit sich selbst, mit dem Thema Depression und mit der Einsamkeit, die in vielen Menschen wohnt und oft unverstanden bleibt. Die Autorin schafft es, mit klaren Worten und abwechslungsreichen Illustrationen ihre Innenwelt nach außen zu kehren und uns als Leser daran teilhaben zu lassen.Zugegeben, diese Einblicke sind alles andere als leichte Kost, aber sie werden getragen von einer Einfachheit und Ehrlichkeit, die berührt und nachdenklich stimmt. Vielleicht erkennt man sich in manchen Bildern wieder und ist so nicht mehr ganz allein mit den eigenen Gefühlen. Vielleicht erkennt man aber auch einen Mitmenschen in der Geschichte wieder und beginnt so ein klein wenig zu verstehen, wie es dieser Person gehen könnte. Beides lässt uns als Leser innerlich wachsen und öffnet uns eine Tür in die Gedankenwelt einer Autorin und ihrem schonungslosen Kampf mit sich selbst und dem Leben.Ich bin dankbar und habe großen Respekt vor dieser wundervollen Veröffentlichung, die nicht nur unglaublich mutig, selbstreflektierend und ehrlich ist, sondern Verständnis und Offenheit weckt und somit die Welt zu einem besseren Ort machen kann. Deswegen gibt es eine klare Leseempfehlung von mir.

Toller Graphic Novel von einer sehr jungen Künstlerin. Keine super leichte Kost aber trotzdem sehr schön.

Love this work! Sometimes, human beings like instant access, plain as they can grasp anything if it’s a state of worry, and like hasty things, but in contrast, Zoe’s work shows how profound it is. I may not be able to cope with it like Zoe if I'm made up of my own self. Zoe’s work makes me cherish moments like having to spend time more slowly. The same lives, even if you spent them in a hurry or slowly, and, so please enjoy Zoe’s world!

I'm suffering from depression and it was like I've finally found someone who gets it. It's both the same and unique.On another note the artwork is fantastic, the story feels very personal and keeps me hooked. I recommend this any time of day and night.

I love it when an artist can also tell his/her own story and wow can this young talent draw and tell a good story. I wish such a work as this had been available to me in my teens and 20’s. It takes the main character on a journey through a set of common life challenges with humour, imagination and sublime artwork. It’s worth checking her interviews on youtube to get to know how she works. A brilliant talent.

With beautiful mixed-style imagery, the "story" is conveyed in a realistic messy manner. It feels more authentic, as if we are in the mind of Zoe while she goes through different experiences. It skips from one thought to the next, and at the end I only wished for more, as I enjoyed every minute of reading and was sad to finish :) can't wait for her next release ❤️
