I ordered this Starlink RV Ladder Mount for Gen 2 / Starlink Roof Rack Mount / Starlink Mount with Pipe Adapter for RV / Starlink Pole Mount / Load-Bearing 200lbs / Pipe Diameter Range: 0.8" - 1.17” Inches (all aluminum) so I would have some way to securely clamp-on a wireless outdoor security camera to the top my RV. Put simply, I was able to fabricate the attachment of an outdoor security camera to a piece of pipe but I had no idea, until seeing this product, of how I was going to attach this pipe/security camera to the top of my RV. This Starlink pipe adapter enabled me to securely mount to, as the AMZN write-up states: ". . . any ladder or pole from 0.8" - 1.17” inches, making it the perfect solution for mounting on to poles, roofs, RVs, SUVs, or any outdoor surface. Machined aluminum clamps to ensure against accidental slipping or loosening; anti-corrosive and anti-rust; and, a pole mount that is claimed to be extremely sturdy in heavy winds with the dish clamp rated to hold over 200lbs - Perfect !!

The Starlink RV ladder mount arrived on time from Amazon. The mount was nicely protected in the box with bubble wrap. And to say the aluminum mount was very nicely made would be an understatement. I was especially impressed at how well the mast mount appeared to be cleanly machined and accurately made fitting the Starlink mast perfectly. The attachment for the RV ladder is not as smoothly finished but well made and has been set up to accommodate different RV ladder pipe diameters. Two sets of 4 screws attach the back bracket around the RV ladder pipe. Longer screws accommodate the larger diameter pipes using included M5x30mm screws and the included smaller M5x20mm screws for the smaller diameter ladder pipes. While I have no intention of driving the RV with the Starlink antenna attached, removal is very easy and except for hitting obstacles, I believe the antenna mount is strong enough to hold it well in strong winds if driving. In fact, I use this mount for multiple applications when Starlink antenna is not needed. A 1 inch PVC pipe is about 1.315 inch outer diameter and fits in the place of the Starlink mast and fits perfectly in the mount! There is a small hole on the side to secure the PVC pipe as a set screw. I am able to use it as a short PVC mast for ham radio antennas, cell booster antenna as well as a home made flag pole. It works well and easily withstands the wind loads on the ham radio antennas if they are smaller mobile antennas. I love this mount, it works VERY well on my class C ladder and quite versatile. This is definitely a recommended mount for those looking for a ladder mount.
