I adored this book and the careful thought put not just into the art, but the characters, their daily lives and the greater world around them. The little girl and her daily life with an outsider she calls teacher was so sweet. The way Teacher tried to protect her, whether helping her gather food, or keeping information from her so as not to hurt her, to protecting her from himself by having her hold a stick so she doesn’t directly touch him is all so complex and fascinating. I found myself both wanting to see more cute day to day life, and also see the hard moments as their lives clash with those on the “inside”. I recommend this to people who love cozy fantasy with a healthy dose of horror.

I bought the hardcover edition. The cover art and artwork inside are beautiful and of high quality. The story - moving and heartwarming. The whole product is just lovely.Update: I read "Love on the Other Side" by the same author and now I am concerned about the nature of the relationship between Shiva and Teacher and I will not be able to exhale until the story finishes.

Sin duda, Seven Seas pone el ejemplo respecto a cómo se tiene que hacer una edición "Deluxe".Una edición que no es solamente hermosa, sino lo que le sigue a eso. Los detalles y el cuidado de esos detalles son de otro nivel:- Pasta dura en imitación de piel- Portada a color con hot stamping- Papel de excelente calidad- Páginas a colorEn resumen, esta es una edición que vale totalmente lo que cuesta.
