The short, short version: it was good for 2 hours, then died. Supercap seems to work, but only to add shine to your PC with that bright green LED.First the pros. Initially this card was fine and very fast. No drivers are necessary. It just worked.But that didn’t last, which brings me to the very significant cons. It died after about two hours. Oh, and it came with no instructions. Not that much is really necessary, but it would be nice to know what LEDs are present and what they do - besides that bright green one you can see in the picture.Summary, from 25+ year computer engineer: It’s no surprise there aren’t any other reviews. Don’t buy it.Details:My main computer doesn’t have NMVe ports on the motherboard so I bought this go with a brand new SK Hynix P31. The machine already has another PCIe card with an XPG SX8200 Pro that’s been running fine, so this was intended to mirror the XPG for data protection. Initially it behaved well while I tested it. Performance was impressive and the little green LED confirmed that the super cap was charged. At least I think that’s what it’s for. Remember: no manual. After a little while I got a checksum error and a few minutes later the OS said the drive had been removed or powered off. I rebooted. I moved it to another PCIe slot. I swapped the NVMe drives between the cards. I tried it in another computer with a different operating system. Nothing helped. Meanwhile the green LED stayed lit. In fact, I removed it an hour ago and it’s still on. Supercap: good. Usefulness: zilch.There are plenty of other options so I’m going to return this and get one of those. Save yourself some trouble and do the same.
