I wanted a leveling base to make shooting panoramas in rugged, uneven terrain quicker and easier. I was spending way too much time adjusting the legs to get the camera level. I shoot mainly landscape panoramas and changing light is a very real issue. Sometimes I would miss the perfect light while still setting up the shot. This tripod definitely solves the problem. I can be level in just a few seconds no matter how the legs are positioned. The built-in leveling base is a snap to use and you don't have to give up the convenience of a center column to fine-tune the height of the camera. Once everything is level, moving the column up or down doesn't change the angle of the camera. Very nice. There are a few things that aren't ideal. The weight, the lack of leg wraps and the lubrication on the leveling base. Actually, weight is not a problem unless you plan to do long hikes, but it is a bit heavy compared to my other rig, a Velbon carbon fiber tripod with an Arca-Swiss P0 head at 3 pounds 10 ounces. The P0 is a great solution for panoramas, too, but only if the camera remains parallel to the ground. Since the P0 panning base is directly under the camera, tipping the camera down to get more of the foreground will cause the camera to describe an arc when panning. This problem is avoided by using a leveling base in conjunction with a traditional ball head with the panning function at its base. In my case, I have an Acratech Nomad ball head mounted to the 755CX3. Once level. I can point the camera up or down and panning will remain flat. This is especially important with wide-angle lenses where there would be too much sky in a shot not angled downward. It would have been nice if Manfrotto included the padded leg wraps that they put on some of their aluminum tripods. Not sure why they don't include this feature on their carbon fiber tripods. I use the new LensCoat leg wraps. They are thinner than the older ones and weigh in at 6 ounces for a set of three. So, my new rig with the wraps and Nomad head weighs 5 pounds 10 ounces. My only other concern is the sticky lubricant that is used on the leveling base. Hopefully, I can keep dirt out (not likely). Time will tell if this will be an issue. As a side note, I tried using the Manfrotto MT190CXPro3 tripod with their accessory 556b leveling column to save some weight. The 755CX3 is based on the older 055 version tripod and is definitely more solid than the 190. Turns out that the MT190 rig is just as heavy! I guess the newer 190 tripods have heavier components, especially the parts used for allowing the horizontal orientation of the center column. Also, the newer leg locks are bigger, probably heavier and tend to pinch your fingers when you open them. The 755CX3 has the older leg locks which I definitely prefer (they also are a lot quieter in operation). So, this is a very solid and functional tripod that I can recommend highly.

Le titre c'est pour le service, vraiment !Arrivé à la date prévue, sinon c'est un trépied..., robuste, qui va très bas, moins de 40 cm du sol, par contre ne monte pas haut 1,40 cm (colonne fermée), il se met en place en quelques secondes, la bulle n'est plus visible une fois la rotule monté donc prévoir d'en prendre une qui est équipé, demi-bol 50 cm pratique pour faire un mise à niveau rapide, pas de pointe pour s'enfoncer dans un sol meuble (mais ça se trouve très facilement), je n'en ai pas l'utilité ! (pour le moment...)j'avais peur pour le poids mais rien à voir avec mon ancien trépied, du bon matériel que je vais certainement garder trèèèèèèèssssss longtemps !!!

Ich filme als YouTuber mit einer DSLR und war seit mehr als einem Jahr mit einem 25€-Plastik-Stativ zufrieden, was ich ich auch jetzt noch für unterwegs nehme und würde jedem empfehlen auch erst zu überlegen, ob er mehr braucht. muy estable, muy buen trípode, puedes poner las patas como quieras y con la nivelación va perfecto para grabar en vídeo DSLR. Con la cabeza 502 va fenomenal, pero tapa el nivel del trípode y tienes que usar el de la cabeza.

Super Stativ. Habe es gekauft wegen der Nivellierfunktion. Sehr gute Verarbeitung. Super Preisleistungsverhältnis.Das einzige was mir fehlt, ist das unten bei den Füssen, keine Spikes vorhanden sind.Kann das Stativ nur weiterempfehlen!

Probably one of the best low cost professional tripod for DSLR Video, the leveling head base alone is a big bonus over standard tripods. It has become my go to tripod for most video shoots.

super Qualität für den Preis!bin schon seit langem Manfrotto-Fan und das Stativ hat es mal wieder bewiesenich verwende es mit einem Videokopf und einer Canon 6Dsehr stabil und trotzdem noch einigermaßen tragbar, sodass man nicht schwitzend an Ort und Stelle ankommtdie Nivellierhalbschale lässt sich angenehm und schnell einstellen auch wenn ordentlich Gewicht auf dem Kopf sitzt

Ich brauchte ein möglichst leichtes, kompaktes Stativ für Flugreisen. In Kombination mit dem Manfrotto 701HDV Video-Kopf ist dieses Stativ der ideale Kompromiss für kleine Kameras. Die Nivellierhalschale macht es zu einem professionell einsetzbarem Stativ. Gute, stabile, aber eben sehr leichte Verarbeitung. Das einzige, was man beachten sollte: Da das Stativ so leicht ist, wackelt es ggf. beim Schwenken. Dafür sollte man einen Sandsack o.ä. dabei haben, den man in die dafür vorgesehene Halterung am Stativ hängt. 3 bis 4 kg reichen da schon, dann steht das Stativ auch beim Schwenken stabil. (Zum leichten Reisen nehme ich dafür einen großen, leeren Sandsack mit und befülle ihn vor Ort mit vier 1-Liter Plastikwasserflaschen.)

Dieses Stativ ist sehr stabil, weil fast alles aus massivem Aluminium besteht. Besonders praktisch ist die Halbschale samt Libelle am oberen Ende, die sehr schnelles Positionieren des Kopfes in der Waagrechten ermöglicht. Das Design ist zurückhaltend und richtet sich sehr nach dem Gebrauchswert: zum Beispiel die Beine sind rund, das ist beim Herumtragen angenehmer als die Kanten eines eckigen Profils.Das Gewicht ist 2,5 kg, die Höhe bis 165 cm, zusammengeklappt min. 64 cm groß.Ich verwende es zusammen mit einem Neigekopf Manfrotto 701HDV und einem Dolly Manfrotto 127VS.
