This TTArtisan 40mm macro lens is amazing. It's got a wonderful heft and weight, is built solidly, and OHhhh! works SOooo beautifully. After a 40-year hiatus from photography, I have returned. A friend of mine was a professional photographer for an NFL team (***hint"**and that NFL team has earned SEVERAL Super Bowl Championship titles), so while I was busy with life in general, let's just sayI wasn't totally absent from this profession. But I will confess that I am not a major league pro. This lens is so much fun to use with my new pro-level camera (yeah, go big or go home 😁). I thought I'd miss letting the camera do all the focusing but, instead, I can assure everyone interested in this lens that they will not be disappointed and won't want to shoot any other way after mounting this optic on their camera. Of course, I'm not a 'real' pro, but do have some wedding photography experience from ancient times, nevertheless, I think folks should take my recommendation for this wonderfully designed TTArtisan lens. 👍👍👍

This lens is certainly an insane value for the money you spend on it. Is it the best lens ever? No, but I got it for about $120 which is dirt cheap for camera lenses. It’s held up well and gotten some decent shots for me. Overall, if you’re interest, just take a shot at it. You can always return it if you don’t like it.Also, note that everything in this lens is completely manual. You will have to change the aperture & focus yourself on the fly which can cause some missed shots if you’re not quick enough.

For the money, there are few (if any) macro lenses that will be better than this one. It's very sharp and easy to use. I did have trouble getting it working initially, but then I realized that I didn't have it seated quite right on my camera. I gave it a little jiggle and after that, it was great. I have heard some grumbling about how far out the lens extends when you're focusing and...I agree that it isn't a great thing. Still, I stand by my first sentence, and if you're just starting to get into macro photography or want to take some nice portraits, this is a fantastic place to start.

I have this for my Olympus cameras. So I have the one for micro four thirds lens mount. The image quality is amazing. You can search the web for detailed reviews. It is manual focus. I like that it has a long travel on the focus ring up to 1m. It makes precise focusing much easier. But the turn between 1m to infinity is very short. If you want to use it other than macro photography, it is quite a challenge. I always use focus peaking for that. The price is very good. It sells for $113.99 here while other places sell for $99.00. The difference is that you get a UV filter, a lens pouch, a brush, a cleaning cloth, and an air blower. I would say it is a good deal for the extra you pay. overall, a very good and inexpensive lens if you want to get into macro photography.
